WHAT:

ANNUAL COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY

The Fort Lauderdale AACA is proud to sponsor the 2022 Collector Car Appreciation Day Cruise-In. The cruise-in will be held in Old Town Pompano Beach, at NE 1st Street and Flagler Dr.  The City of Pompano Beach has closed the street for the event. There will be food trucks and Scott The Music Man playing the oldies.  Thanks to our generous sponsors this is a FREE event. There will be a 50/50 drawing and donations will be accepted with proceeds going to the Antique Automobile Club of America National Library, a 501(c)(3) organization.

The SEMA Action Network (SAN) announced, “the next  Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) will be officially celebrated on Friday, July 8, 2022 however we will be celebrating on Saturday, July 9th.  The date marks the thirteenth consecutive commemoration in what is now an annual event to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.”

JAMES WRIGHT SAYS:

By a resolution of the U.S. Congress, the second Friday of July has been designated as Collector Car Appreciation Day. The term collector car is not defined other than any vehicle that has collector value. Each organization is left to determine what a collector car is.

The Fort Lauderdale AACA has decided that basically any vehicle that is eligible for collector car insurance qualifies as a collector vehicle regardless of age or condition – antiques, rods, replicas or exotics.

In recognition of Collector Car Appreciation Day the Fort Lauderdale AACA has organized a cruise-in to celebrate the occasion  Please join us for the very special occasion.

THIS IS A REGISTRATION FREE EVENT.

WHEN:

Saturday, July 9, 2022 . 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Note, the official collector car appreciation day is Friday. We will be celebrating it on Saturday with this cruise-in.

DIRECTIONS:

It is near the intersection of Dixie Highway and Atlantic Avenue in Pompano Beach FL. Enter event at NE 2nd Street and Flagler Drive.
