It is with extreme regret that we have canceled the Collector Car Appreciation Day Car Show at Gracepoint Church originally scheduled for Friday, July 10th. After very careful consideration and discussion it was decided that with the rise of Covid 19 cases in South Florida it would be irresponsible to proceed with this event where we can not assure that participants and spectators will be safe.

WHAT:

ANNUAL COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY

The SEMA Action Network (SAN) announced, “the next  Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) will be officially celebrated on July 10, 2020.  The date marks the eleventh consecutive commemoration in what is now an annual event to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.”

JAMES WRIGHT SAYS:

By a resolution of the U.S. Congress, the second Friday of July has been designated as Collector Car Appreciation Day. The term collector car is not defined other than any vehicle that has collector value. Each organization is left to determine what a collector car is.

The Fort Lauderdale AACA has decided that basically any vehicle that is eligible for collector car insurance qualifies as a collector vehicle regardless of age or condition – antiques, rods, replicas or exotics.

In recognition of Collector Car Appreciation Day the Fort Lauderdale AACA has organized a car show to celebrate the occasion  Please join us for the very special occasion.

THIS IS A REGISTRATION FREE EVENT.
There will be BBQ sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, water and colas for sale – cheap!
CDC guidelines must be observed. NOTE: Social distancing will be required and please have a mask for any unplanned circumstance.

Friday, July 10th. 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m

Grace Point Church, 5590 NE 6 Avenue, Oakland Park, FL 33334.

DIRECTIONS:

From I-95 go East on Commercial Blvd to the 2nd light. Turn North (left) on NE 6 Avenue. The church is on the South East corner of NE 6 Ave. and NE 56 Street.
