HOMESTEAD DATE CHANGE SEE BELOW \n \nGive Back At The Track NASCAR Charity Fundraiser!  \nOn Sunday\, June 6th\, as part of the Give Back at the Track charity fundraiser\, a group of Fort Lauderdale AACA members and friends took 13 cars to the Homestead-Miami Speedway and did 13 laps on the 1 1/2 mile oval. Some at more than 120 mph. You can read about it in the May/June issue of the Steering Wheel or click on this link FtLauderdaleAACA Instagram video to watch an 18 minute movie of the experience. Afterwards we went to lunch together to cap off what all agreed was one of the best experiences in years. \nWell\, we arranged to do it again and you’re invited. This time it’s a package deal. \nHere’s what you get\, $70.00 includes: \n\nEvent is now Sunday\, October 10th ; (the original date was December 26th. Due to many requests the date was changed.)\n15 minutes of track time on October 17th.\n1 seat for the NASCAR race on February 27th.\nAnother $40 gets another ticket for the race for a guest.\nEntry of your classic car into the car show on February 27th.\n\nTHE 1ST 25 PEOPLE TO REGISTER WILL GET AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES OF TRACK TIME FREE!\nYou do not have to have a high performance car. Our group included daily drivers and pickup trucks. \nTo be one of the 25 for additional track time you must sign up NOW. If you sign up later and are not one of the lucky 25\, you will get everything in the package except the the additional track time. \nProceeds from Give Back at the Track benefit DRIVING FOR A CAUSE – A DONOR ADVISED FUND OF THE NASCAR FOUNDATION.  \nTo purchase tickets and sign up\, call Felicia Vega at 305-230-5211 and tell her you’re with the Fort Lauderdale AACA. I was notified today that the newly announced date for the track day of October 3rd is INCORRECT. The correct date is October 17th.  We are left with a dilemma.  October 17th is in conflict with 2 other events that I am already committed to. I cannot go to Homestead on that date. That means that if some of us go on October 17th and others on another date we will not go as a group. We will be on the track with other strangers. Homestead is looking for another date for us to go as a group. I need to speak to each of you individually and get you preference. Call me at your convenience at 954 232-3636.
